Luton manager Edwards leaves after poor run

Rob Edwards has announced his departure as Luton Town manager after four straight league defeats.

The 42-year-old was appointed in November 2022 and guided the Hatters to promotion to the top flight for the first time in 30 years in 2023 when they beat Coventry on penalties at Wembley.

He remained in charge despite being relegate from the Premier League after just one season, but four straight defeats saw them drop to 20th in the Championship and they are now just two places and two points above the relegation zone.

“It’s been a privilege to manage Luton but now is the right time for me to move on. It’s for the club and for me,” the former Wales international said.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve achieve, not just winning the play-offs but winning the final and getting promote to the Premier League at Wembley. It was an เล่น UFABET ผ่านมือถือ สะดวกทุกที่ ทุกเวลา amazing experience.”

“I take incredible memories with me, not just the semi-final wins against Watford or Sunderland, or Brighton, Newcastle, Palace or Everton.”

“But the way we did it, the way we played against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa and Manchester United, we were a very brave and excellent team. We saw a great Kenny (Kenilworth Road) and that’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
