Baraja admits Valencia have limited budget for reinforcements.

Valencia will have a tight summer budget to spend after missing out on European football next season. Valencia coach Ruben Baraja has admitted the Valencia have limited funds to spend this summer. After missing out on a European place following a 1-0 defeat at Real Sociedad, Cadena Cope reported on Friday.

Valencia have been struggling of late, picking up just one point from their last five games. Including a 1-0 defeat at Real Sociedad on Thursday. Which effectively ended Los Blancos’ hopes of qualifying for Europe. That means Baraja will have a limited budget to spend on signings this summer. UFABET

‘We who know Valencia want to be in a special position (European football position). But that will depend on the budget, it will determine what we want and that is the difference. I would like to have a Ferrari, but if I have to drive a Skoda. If you understand me, now the economic differences determine the objectives,’ said Baraja.

However, the 48-year-old is happy with Valencia’s overall season and feels they have achieved their targets, having been assessed before the start of the campaign that the Valencia team would have to fight for survival.

‘The aim for this season is to improve on last season. The team has achieved success in advance with young players from the academy. After the project was created.’

‘I think the whole group of players gave it their all. I saw a lot of commitment, a lot of effort, and it will be an experience for the future.’
